David Ormes is a Pratt Alum '97. He is a 2 time winner of The Art Directors Club Scholarship, he has worked on the Prattler, Prattfolio, and Prattonia staffs and has taught for over 6 years at the Brooklyn Campus.
He has been featured in Communication Arts Interactive Annual 7, Print Magazine, Pulp Magazine, World's Best Online Campaigns, and Cool Sites. He has received 18 Davey Awards (Gold and Silver), a Webby Award, a Telly Award, and a W3 Award for Web Excellence.
He has lectured abroad at Mexico's Center for Latin American Art Studies teaching in Merida, Yucatan teaching American design trends and techniques.
He was a Creative Director at Digital Pulp 98-04 before starting Big Rig Creative which won 14 awards (Davey, Webby, W3, Telly) for clients such as The US Ski Team, US Snowboarding, US Swimming, Cingular, Citibank, BCBG , and served as Design Director for MGX Lab which his clients included AOL, NFL, Jonas Brothers, Bayer, Muhammad Ali, Tom Brady, NetJets, MarquiJet, and many more. Ormes and won a 2009 Davey Award and 2 2010 Webby Awards with MGX Lab.
